Husker bowl season and holiday turnovers: a Lincoln host's calendar

Ohio State on November 21 is Nebraska's last home game of 2026, and Thanksgiving falls five days later on November 26. Bowl season runs December 12, 2026 to the national championship on January 25, 2027, and a bowl is played away from Lincoln, so December demand is holiday family travel more than football. Book a mattress cleaning on the weekday after each checkout: we work Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, and the first mattress is $199 (Fall 2026 promo, regularly $249), any size.

Host checklist

 1. Book the Monday after the November 21 Ohio State checkout; that gives Thanksgiving guests a freshly cleaned bed by Wednesday, November 25.
 2. Block a preparation night before and after holiday stays in Airbnb's availability settings so there is a weekday for the cleaning.
 3. Count sleeping areas against the city's cap of two guests per sleeping area, up to 12, before you accept a large holiday group.
 4. Have your emergency contact, who must be able to reach the property within 45 minutes, strip the beds at checkout.

Why the holidays are a turnover crunch

The Ohio State weekend and Thanksgiving are five days apart, and Christmas and New Year's stays run back to back. That leaves few weekdays to clean between groups. Blocking one preparation night in Airbnb gives you a weekday slot; a cleaned mattress is the easiest upgrade to put in your listing photos and reviews before the busiest family-travel weeks.

We treat the whole sleep surface, seams and edges with low-moisture dry vapor steam, HEPA vacuuming and UV-C light treatment. For home-game weekends, see Husker game weekends; for the license and guest cap, see Lincoln's short-term rental rules.

What do hosts ask?

Does a Husker bowl game bring guests to Lincoln?

Bowl games are played away from Memorial Stadium. Nebraska was 5-2 after seven games, so a bowl is possible, but selections are made in December. For Lincoln listings, the reliable late-season dates are the November 21 home game and the holidays.

When is the best time to clean between Thanksgiving and Christmas?

The first weekday after your Thanksgiving checkout, usually Monday, November 30, and again the week of December 14 before Christmas guests arrive. We run a moisture check after the job, and the bed stays unmade until it is dry to the touch.

What does a turnover cleaning cost?

$199 (Fall 2026 promo, regularly $249) for the first mattress, any size, with normal stains, pet odor and ordinary urine accidents included. See Lincoln pricing for additional beds in the same visit.

Do you work weekends during the holidays?

Visits are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Call or text (402) 512-5658 any day and we will book the first open weekday.
