Parents: how to book a mattress cleaning for August move-in

For an off-campus Lincoln apartment, book the mattress cleaning for a weekday before furniture arrives. In 2026 that meant the week before UNL's August 16 to 19 move-in, NWU's August 19 move-in or Union Adventist's August 17 Spark Start day. The first mattress is $249, any size. Call or text (402) 512-5658. This page is the booking checklist; the year-long calendar is the [parent's checklist](/academic-year/parents-checklist).

When this matters

  1. Early July

Pick the appointment window once you know the apartment's move-in day. (Lincoln Mattress Cleaning)

  2. Week before furniture arrives

Ideal cleaning day: empty room, stripped bed, clear nightstands. (Lincoln Mattress Cleaning)

  3. August 16 to 19, 2026 (UNL)

UNL residence hall Move-In 2026. Campus traffic is heavy near City Campus. (UNL Housing)

  4. August 17 and 19, 2026

Union Adventist Spark Start move-in (Aug 17) and NWU new-student move-in (Aug 19). (UAU / NWU)

What is the August booking checklist?

  1. Confirm the bed is off campus. Hall beds are out of scope.
  2. Pick a weekday before furniture arrives. Leave room for the bed to stay unmade until it is dry to the touch.
  3. Call or text (402) 512-5658 or use our book page. Lincoln Mattress Cleaning is operated by Sleep Sanitation.
  4. Name stains, pets and used-bed history so we bring the right enzyme work. Ordinary urine accidents are included in $249.
  5. Check the care label and warranty terms before we start.

How is this different from the parent's checklist?

The parent's mattress checklist for the UNL year walks January through May. This page is only the August booking call: dates, price and what to say on the phone.

What does a multi-bed apartment cost?

$249 for the first mattress, then $199 for each additional full, queen or king and $149 for each additional kids bed (twin/full) in the same visit. See /pricing for current offers. Underside/full-surface treatment is +$50–$75 per mattress when needed.

What we don't know

  • Your exact move-in hour. Buildings vary; give us a window, not a guess.
  • Whether parking will be open near City Campus that week. Plan for UNL move-in traffic if you are close to Memorial Stadium.

Questions from students and parents

What should I tell you when I call?

The Lincoln address, how many mattresses and sizes, the move-in day, and any urine, pet odor or used-bed history. We confirm the price before we schedule.

Do hall beds need a booking?

No. UNL, NWU and Union Adventist residence hall mattresses belong to each school. We only book off-campus apartments and houses.

How soon can we make the bed?

When it is dry to the touch. We run a moisture check after the job We do not publish a clock time; the moisture check tells you when the bed is ready.
