Southeast Community College in Lincoln: Woodhaven Hall and off-campus beds

If you live in Woodhaven Hall at SCC's Lincoln campus, the twin XL bed is the college's, personal mattresses aren't allowed and a topper is, so there is nothing for us to clean. If you live off campus or at home, your own bed is the one to reset, ideally the week before SCC's fall semester starts on August 17, 2026. The first mattress is $249, any size. What does Woodhaven Hall provide?

Woodhaven Hall is the residence hall on SCC's Lincoln campus at 8800 O Street. The 2026–2027 Residence Life Handbook describes it as suite-style, with double-adjoining rooms connected by a kitchenette, single-adjoining rooms, ADA rooms and a limited number of private singles. Every room comes furnished, including a twin XL bed. Personal mattresses and water beds aren't permitted; a mattress topper is. So pack twin XL sheets, a topper if you want one, and leave the mattress question to Residence Life.

How is SCC different from the other Lincoln campuses we cover?

SCC runs on a two-weekday check-in, typically the Thursday and Friday before fall classes, with assigned times instead of one big move-in day, and its Lincoln campus sits on the east side of the city at 88th and O Streets rather than near downtown. Where does a mattress cleaning fit for an SCC student?

Off campus and at home. Students who commute or live in an apartment sleep on their own beds, and those are the ones we can clean. Book the week before August 17 or during the break after December 11, when the room is easiest to clear. The visit is a material inspection, low-moisture dry vapor steam on the surface, seams and tufts, HEPA vacuuming and UV-C light treatment, with two checks included: a moisture check after the job and the built-in bed mite sensor on our UV-C vacuum. The bed stays unmade until it is dry to the touch. Every rate is on our pricing page.

What we don't know

  • Fall 2027 check-in days. Residence Life notifies students of assigned days before each term.
  • SCC's commuter share. SCC doesn't state on its housing pages how many Lincoln students live on campus.

Questions from students and parents

Can I bring my own mattress to Woodhaven Hall?

No. SCC's Residence Life Handbook says personal mattresses and water beds aren't permitted, though residents may bring a mattress topper. Every room comes with college-provided furniture, including a twin XL bed.

Do you clean the Woodhaven Hall mattresses?

No. Hall beds are SCC property, and the handbook says college property can't be moved or removed without Residence Life's consent. Questions about a hall bed go to Residence Life at the Woodhaven Housing Office.

I live off campus near SCC's Lincoln campus. When should I book?

The week before August 17, 2026, while the room is still empty, or over the December break. Our hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, and we return weekend calls and texts.

I commute from my parents' house. Is my bed at home worth cleaning?

If it is sound, yes. The first mattress is $249, any size, with normal stains, pet odor and ordinary urine accidents included, and each additional full, queen or king in the same visit is $199. See the pricing page for every rate.
