Union Adventist University move-in: mattress timing for Warriors
Union Adventist University's Spark Start move-in for fall 2026 is Monday, August 17, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Residence hall mattresses belong to UAU, so we do not clean them. Off-campus apartments near the 3800 South 48th Street campus are bookable at $249 for the first mattress, any size, operated by Sleep Sanitation.
When this matters
August 17, 2026, 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
Spark Start move-in day for residence halls. Required for freshmen. (Union Adventist University Spark Start)
Sundown Friday to sundown Saturday
UAU states no move-in is allowed during those hours. Contact the residence hall deans for arrivals before Sunday. (Union Adventist University Spark Start)
January 11, 2026
Spring orientation move-in used the same 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. residence hall window. (Union Adventist University Spring Orientation)
Which UAU beds do we clean?
None inside Rees, Prescott or Culver Halls. Those mattresses stay with the university. We clean mattresses in off-campus apartments and houses in Lincoln, including units near South 48th Street.
How do Rees beds differ from Prescott and Culver?
UAU publishes Rees Hall beds as 36 by 72 inches and Prescott and Culver as 36 by 80 inch extra-long twins. Sheet shopping depends on the hall. That detail matters for packing, not for a hall cleaning we will not book.
When does an off-campus reset fit Spark Start?
Book a weekday before August 17 while the room is empty. Call or text (402) 512-5658. Check the care label and warranty terms first. How steam works on foam is covered in Sleep Sanitation's cleaning methods hub, not on this page.
What we don't know
- Whether nextsteps or Spark Start wins if the two pages disagree on August 17 vs 18. Spark Start is the detailed schedule we follow here; confirm on uau.edu before you travel.
- 2027 Spark Start dates. UAU publishes them closer to summer.
Questions from students and parents
Is Union Adventist University the same as Union College?
Yes. The Lincoln campus at 3800 South 48th Street formerly used the Union College name and still appears that way in older search results.
What size are UAU residence hall beds?
UAU's student housing page lists Rees Hall beds at 36 by 72 inches, and Prescott and Culver Halls at extra-long twin 36 by 80 inches. Confirm the hall before you buy sheets. We do not clean UAU hall mattresses.
When should an off-campus Warrior book?
A weekday before August 17 if furniture is arriving around Spark Start. The bed stays unmade until it is dry to the touch, and we run a moisture check after the job.
